James Johnson and his Virginia Tech Hokies continue to build their program with a fourth recruit this fall in 6-5 wing shooter Ben Emelogu from South Grand Prairie, TX High.

Emelogu, who plays for the Dallas Mustangs is a solid perimeter shooter who uses his ability to knock down the three to set up the dribble drive or pull-up jumper. He can score versus contact, rebound from the wing or use his length and quicks to be a solid defender. His versatility will let him see lots of playing time as a freshman with the new look Hokies next fall.

He chose Virginia Tech over interest from Marquette, Washington, Texas Christian, Weber State, Albany, Texas-Arlington and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

Emelogu joins 6-9 Maurice Kirby, 6-4 Donte Clark, and 6-10 Trevor Thompson in the Hokies Class of 2013.
