Virginia Cavaliers add fast rising point guard
Tony Bennett and his Virginia staff have added a quality lead guard from the west coast for the future.
According to his twitter account, 6-2 California point guard London Perrantes from Encino Crespi Carmelite High will be a Virginia Cavalier.
“I am happy to say ..I have verbally committed to the University of Virginia!#HooNation.” Perrantes tweeted.
He chose Virginia, after visiting the Labor Day weekend, over interest from Illinois, Arizona State, Pepperdine, USC, and Washington State.
Perrantes is an excellent pass first floor leader who has a high basketball I.Q. that allows him to read the court and attack opposing defenses off the dribble or with the pass. He has good quicks and is a solid ball handler who can break down pressure or take it at you one on one. he has solid jumper that he can knock down from three that keeps “D” off balance. He will add immediate help at the point as a freshman, then mature into a solid ACC floor leader for the Cavaliers.
