Ramsey (NJ) Don Bosco Prep DE Al-Quadin Muhammad has verbally committed to Miami. Being one of the highest rated defensive ends in the country, he pulled the trigger today at the Army All-American Game in San Antonio, Texas.

Holding over 11 scholarship offers, he had no shortage of options to where he could spend his next four years. His finalist were Miami, Notre Dame, Rutgers, and Alabama. A few weeks ago, he was considered a Notre Dame lean, but after possible qualification issues he looked elsewhere.

Standing at 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds, Muhammad has the prototypical size to make an early impact for the Hurricanes next season. While, he will be a freshman next season, he will have a great opportunity to play early on as Miami is in dire need of a pass rush.

It has almost been a month since he took his official visit to the University of Miami, and that visit had a lasting impression on him. From being hosted by fellow New Jersey native DT Olsen Pierre, to 2013 LB Jermaine Grace giving him his UM hat, he had a memorable experience in Coral Gables.

Although, there was a strong push for Muhammad to stay home and play for his home town team the Scarlett Knights, he ultimately chose to take his talents to South Beach!

This past season his team went 8-3, and Muhammad had a tackle filled season. Don Bosco is widely known as one of the top prep programs in the nation.
