Carter is Miami Bound
Miami (Fla.) Southridge High School DB Jamal Carter has been committed to Miami since July of last year. Although, other top programs have been recruiting him hard since then, the next college campus he’ll step foot on will be in Coral Gables, Florida.
Carter made it known today, that he does not intend to take anymore official visits. He called Clemson’s coaches today, and cancelled the visit he had set up for next weekend.
“The visit was good, it was wonderful.” said Carter’s mother, “They did not have to impress me, because I know the history of the University of Miami… I know it’s a good program, and it is not all about football.”
Carter’s mother always preferred him staying home and going to UM, as she is really big on academics.
“They(Miami) stand out more than other schools, this is my home… so as of today there are no more visits.”
She expects that her son will play during his freshman season.
“When he’s ready, he will get a go.”
How has this recruiting process gone for the Carter family?
“It’s been stressful, we are ready for it to be over already… he(Jamal) said he feels good about his decision.
As of right now Carter plans on majoring in sports medicine.
