2013 Miami Target Receives Offer from Alabama
Lauderdale Lakes (Fla.) Boyd Anderson High School ATH Eddie Jackson (6’2/180) is exploding onto the scene. In two months time, he has picked up offers from perennial powers such as Alabama, Florida State, and LSU. Jackson also holds offers from Tennessee, Arkansas, Hawaii, and SMU. Although, National Signing Day is less than a month away, he is wide open.
Going into his senior campaign, Jackson knew that the offers would be coming in late. Not playing football his sophomore and junior year, he had a lot of catching up to do.
“I feel like my hard work paid off, it’s a great feeling.”
The South Florida product is being recruited to play multiple position at the next level. Alabama wants him at defensive back, while LSU would like him at receiver and possibly kick returner.
The University of Miami was recruiting him at one point, but since receivers coach McDonald left they have not recruited him.
“I don’t hear nothing from them(Miami) anymore.”
Earlier in the season, he was able to take an unofficial visit to Miami, and there was a lot to like.
January will be a very hectic month for the standout athlete, as he plans to take multiple official visits to some of the prestigious schools in the nation. His first visit will go to Florida State, and his second to Alabama. He is unsure of where he will go for his third, but as of now it is between LSU, Tennessee, and Arkansas. If the Hurricanes were to offer him soon, he would consider taking an official visit there too.
His reaction to the Alabama offer that he received today.
“I was just happy, just speechless you know… I came from nothing to something.”
Growing up, Jackson rooted for Florida State, which makes their offer that much more special.
