Maryland Terps add junior guard
Mark Turgeon and his Maryland Terrapins staff have received some future back court help with the commitment of our No. 82 rated junior, 6-0 Romelo Trimble from Arlington, VA Bishop O’Connell.
Trimble is the second Prince George County player to commit to the Terps, as he will follow this fall’s signee, and fellow D.C. Assault teammate Roddy Peters to College Park.
“I’ve been watching Maryland most of my life,” Trimble said. “Ever since they won the national championship with Juan Dixon and Steve Blake. Since I was little I’ve been a fan. I’ve just been waiting for the offer”
Trimble has shown his stuff with the D.C. Assault last summer, he impressed us with his ability to attack with the dribble, then hit oopen cutter on baseline or shooter on the wing. he has quicks and bounce to finish drive and set it up with a solid perimeter jumper. He will team with Peters to give the Terps a solid back court in the future for Coach Turgeon’s Teprs.
He chose Maryland over Rutgers and Cincinnati.
