Coach Speak: Frank Spaziani Says Consistency The Key to Winning
It’s been a tough road for Boston College this season and head coach Frank Spaziani made no excuses for his lost to Army on Saturday during his weekly press conference.
“As a team, there are certain things we need to do. We have been addressing it all year and we still need to keep addressing it. These guys have been responding in practice and we just need to keep sticking with it. We’ll see how it goes once we get on the practice field…I can’t emphasize enough that these aren’t excuses but these things always seem to show up on defense first. That’s been the frustrating part.”
Spaziani may be at a loss for words with his team (1-4, 0-2) who has lost to three consecutive games and head’s into a nationally televised 5:30 p.m. kickoff Saturday with No. 12 Florida State.
“It’s dangerous thinking to look too far in advance but we know our margin of error is slim. We’re 1-4, playing hard, and a couple of those games could have gone another way. We have to figure out why that isn’t happening.”
One reason, the coach says is consistency.
“The guys are working hard but we need certain areas to be more consistent in order to turn things around.”
